Siemens PCS7 linked to pallet label applicator

For a large client in the dairy industry we have realized the control of the packaging line, including the labeling and booking of pallets to the ERP system. Thanks to the link between PCS7 and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), the pallets produced are then placed in the warehouse in a fully automated way for the shipping department.

Packaging orders

The operator starts and stops the packing orders received from ERP directly on his PCS7 screen. Based on these orders, the packaging line is provided with all order data, such as fill weight, printer layout, batch et cetera. A standardized order handshake ensures that the packaging line and PCS7 both have the correct order active. All produced pallets are then automatically provided with a HU label and booked into the ERP system via PCS7.

Automated

By linking PCS7 to the AGV system, not only are the produced pallets collected and put away, but the supply of empty pallets on behalf of the packaging line is also automated.
