‘In the lead’

November 22, 2021

Our search for good, enthusiastic colleagues continues unabated. Commissioning Engineer is a newly created position. It is difficult in such a case to let an experience expert speak. Therefore Bastiaan van Eck describes in this blog 'outside the lines' of the vacancy who we are looking for and what we offer!

The Commissioning Engineer is responsible for commissioning installations. In the sequence of a project, you step in at the final stage. The software has been written and tested with the customer: the step to put the idle plant back into operation is yours!

Advancement as a goal

As you understand from the job description above, we think it is especially important that you are an excellent self-reliant electrician. An excellent electrician who has a great affinity with automation: after all, you are the "link" between the "software" and the installation. From that perspective, we also think it is important that you develop in the field of software. Unlike many 'big brothers' in the market, we offer you ample opportunity to grow. Our goal is for you to develop into a Software Engineer!

Commissioning

Your most important task begins when the plant is shut down.  The programming work is completed and the production process has to be started up: at that moment you take the lead and realize the efficient commissioning of the plant or production unit. Based on your expertise as an electrician, you find it natural to take on that role!

Taking the lead

Apart from the time you take the lead in starting up production processes, you will have ample opportunity to immerse yourself in the software side of our processes. During this parallel track, you will attend software training courses and handle small-scale projects independently. With this combination, we offer you ample opportunity to develop yourself within our team.

Together

This also identifies one of our most important characteristics: teamwork is our central focus! Together we come up with the best solutions for challenging projects, and even when working alone on an assignment, you can always turn to colleagues for support or advice. Whenever possible, we have lunch together and we take an interest in each other!
