What you can do:
In our team of process translators, as a senior software engineer PCS7, you will be responsible for carrying out small and medium-sized PCS7 projects in the production and process industry. This includes modifications to existing installations and extensions to them. These can be small projects ranging from a few weeks to large projects of 2-3 years which is very varied! For the larger PCS7 projects, you are part of the team and take care of the implementation together. In this team, you are definitely not a number and there is personal attention. There may also be a pre-engineering phase prior to the assignment. Here, your role is to assess the information provided and translate the process into a design.
You are involved in the entire project cycle from design to construction, testing (FAT) and commissioning (SAT) of the created software. You ensure clear and transparent communication with the customer and fellow process translators, and can issue assignments to fellow process translators.
You maintain contact with the lead engineer PCS7 about progress, planning and discuss related issues such as additional required training, purchase of additional software, etc. You personally monitor the scope of the assignment and ensure clear and transparent communication with the client and fellow process translators.
As a Senior Engineer PCS7, you will soon also have the opportunity to advance to PCS neo, Siemens' new web-based process control system. We are currently specializing in this. Call or email us if you have any questions about this.
