Since March, Colin Huisman has been part of our team as a consultant in process and industrial automation. As a certified AVEVA specialist, he also contributes as an internal trainer. Additionally, Colin has extensive experience in Microsoft.NET, particularly in software development.

Colin: “My focus is on process and industrial automation, with an emphasis on AVEVA solutions. This means I develop automation software and actively program. Additionally, I play a role in the sales process by identifying customer needs during discussions. I also conduct internal workshops on AVEVA products and work on projects both independently and as part of a team, depending on the project's scale.”
“After completing my MTS and hbo education, I worked for a large national system integrator specializing in building management automation”, Colin explains. “I then further specialized in industrial automation and became a consultant at AVEVA Select Benelux. There, I provided workshops and training on AVEVA solutions and developed automation solutions for clients. I am now an AVEVA Certified Specialist and trainer, with expertise in Plant SCADA and web applications.”
Colin: “Prospact operates with short communication lines and a social team. I was already familiar with the company from previous joint projects and always wanted to be ‘on their side of the table.’ When I realized I was looking for a more hands-on role, I had discussions with Joey and Bastiaan. I immediately felt a great connection and made my decision quickly. I’m very happy with this step!”
“I want to contribute to the development of automation solutions and standardized products that can be applied across various clients”, says Colin. “I also strive to continuously develop my skills and apply new technologies in practice. AVEVA remains a key focus, but I am also exploring broader opportunities in industrial automation.”
Colin, 47, lives in Eerbeek, in the Veluwe region. “We have three sons, aged nine, twelve, and sixteen, all very active in sports, including tennis, soccer, and fitness. I enjoy playing padel, while my fiancée Nicole goes to the gym regularly. We’ve been engaged for a long time, but the wedding is still on the to-do list! We love traveling, especially to the US. In my free time, I enjoy DIY projects, electrical work, and installation technology-skills I’ve maintained since my MTS days. And when I get the chance, I love to relax in the garden with a coffee or a cold beer!”
