Prospact - Damond Lahaije

Damond is impressed by the short communication lines and informal atmosphere!

Personal and pleasant

“My previous employer had around two thousand employees, many of whom were on secondment”, he says. “Here, it feels personal and pleasant to sit next to each other, to be able to ask questions whenever you want, and to be able to talk about topics other than work during our joint lunch!’

Independent engineering

In the coming period, Damond’s work will consist of independent engineering with Siemens PCS7. “That’s the core of my work and it feels almost like a hobby. Over the years, I’ve noticed that my skills extend further. I have more to offer in customer contact and managing a team.”

Communicative ambitions

Damond: “That came up during my job interview, and we made clear agreements about it. As Prospact's customers and working methods are still new to me, I'm focusing on engineering for the time being, but I'll pursue those more communicative ambitions later.’

Next step

After graduating, Damond worked for the same employer for eight years, after which he felt it was time for a change. “My work shifted towards smaller projects. I wanted to utilise my communication skills more, and it’s always beneficial to broaden your horizons after spending so many years in the same place.”

Depending and developing

After careful consideration, he decided to look further afield. Through a former colleague, he soon came into contact with Prospact. It immediately felt right, and the interviews went well. “Here, I can immerse myself in PCS7 and I have the opportunity to develop in a direction that I have noticed I have a talent for.”

Familiar manners

As mentioned, he enjoys life as a ‘Procesvertaler’. “Apart from the familiar mannerisms, it’s easier to develop broadly in a compact company like Prospact. Positions are less rigidly defined, and there is room for initiative and responsibility.”

Proud father

For the time being, 34-year-old Damond is travelling back and forth as much as possible. “But the option of working from home has been discussed at length. Because of the travel time, I don’t get to the gym as often. My girlfriend and I have been together for seventeen years, and I became a father in January!” He also has a busy social life: “We love spending time with friends: our weekends are always fun!”

Welcome as a ‘process translator’, Damond!
