Prospact - Dusty Janssen

Dusty Janssen has been back as Process Translator since September after a two-year hiatus! He is now fulfilling his familiar role as a software engineer from a senior position. In this interview, he talks about his considerations and motivation.

‘In the past two years, Prospact has grown considerably, also in number of employees!’

Familiair environment

Dusty: ‘I mainly program PCS7 for clients, which can involve complete projects or single jobs. I am currently working with a team of four on a large project, in which everything fits together. It's nice to be back in familiar surroundings.’

Returning

‘After two years, I was looking for something else,’ Dusty explains. ‘When Bastiaan heard that, he contacted me and asked if I wanted to come back. That felt right, because I knew my experience could now add even more value. In the meantime, I have taken steps and gained new knowledge. I can apply that again here!’

Distinctive

Dusty: ‘I live in Roermond and in my previous period at Prospact in Boxtel I spent a lot of travelling time. That's why I'm glad I now get the opportunity to work more from home: that was really an important condition for me. In addition, the atmosphere here is as good as ever. It is a cheerful and hardworking team, where there is always room to help each other. That's also why I loved coming back: I knew where I would end up.’

Ambitions

Dusty: ‘I want to gain more experience with PCS7 and eventually lead a project. At Prospact I get the space to develop myself, and I'm sure opportunities will present themselves as I grow further in my work. Also, we are now working with an additional system, AVEVA. I want to develop in that in the future too.’

In conclusion, ‘As for Prospact and what I find important: the atmosphere has remained the same. It feels like I never left, and that makes me feel good!’
